Lady GaGa pe coperta Vogue

Cantareata americana Lady GaGa (24 de ani) este vedeta numarului din martie al publicatiei “Vogue” US. Pe coperta, artista poarta o rochie Haider Ackermann, in timp ce in pictorial, intitulat Our Lady of Pop si realizat de fotograful peruvian Mario Testino s-au folosit si tinute Alexander McQueen si Hussein Chalayan.

* On her ambition: “I was a strange, loud little kid who could sit at the piano and kill a Beethoven piece. Speaking purely from a musical standpoint, I think I am a great performer. I am a talented entertainer. I consider myself to have one of the greatest voices in the industry. I consider myself to be one of the greatest songwriters. I wouldn’t say that I am one of the greatest dancers, but I am really quite good at what I do. I think it’s OK to be confident in yourself”

* On influences: “It’s not a secret that I have been inspired by tons of people. David Bowie and Prince being the most paramount in terms of live performance. I could go on and on about all of the people I have been compared to—from Madonna to Grace Jones to Debbie Harry to Elton John to Marilyn Manson to Yoko Ono—but at a certain point you have to realize that what they are saying is that I am cut from the cloth of performer, that I am like all of those people in spirit… She was born this way”

* On her ‘little monsters’: “I see myself in them. I was this really bad, rebellious misfit of a person—I still am—sneaking out, going to clubs, drugs, alcohol, older men, younger men. You imagine it, I did it. I was just a bad kid. And I look at them, and every show there’s a little more eyeliner, a little more freedom, and a little more «I don’t give a f–k about the bullies at my school». For some reason, the fans didn’t become more Top 40. They become even more of this cult following. It’s very strange and exciting”

* On the instant gratification from fans: “Sometimes, being onstage is like having sex with my fans. They’re the only people on the planet who in an instant can make me just lose it”

* On being exhausted: “Let’s call a spade a spade here. I am really f-cking tired. I am at that last mile of the marathon when your fingers and your toes are numb and you can’t feel your body, and I am just going on adrenaline. But in the overarching objective of my life, I am really only at mile two. I try to keep that in mind”

* On living in London: “I have a very broad taste in music, and the English don’t differentiate the rock star from the pop star. It’s all the same thing… The fashion community in general got me much earlier than everyone else, but actually, I felt truly embraced by this London cultural movement, that McQueen, Isabella, Daphne Guinness wing of the English crowd. I remember when I first started doing photo shoots, people would say, «My God, you look so much like Isabella Blow, it scares me». And McQueen used to say, «Oh, my God, your boobs!» He actually grabbed both of them and said, «Even your boobs are like hers!»”

* On her wardrobe choice and the meat dress: “It’s not about a choice, it’s about a lifestyle that I live and breathe… There is this assumption that women in music and pop culture are supposed to act a certain way, and because I’m just sort of middle fingers up, a-blazing, doing what my artistic vision tells me to do, that is what is misunderstood. People are like, «She dresses this way for attention». Or like, «Ugh, the meat dress». People just want to figure it out or explain it. The truth is, the mystery and the magic is my art. That is what I am good at”.

GaGa stie marketing!

Apariţia ei pe coperta prestigioasei reviste Vogue vine într-un moment în care noul ei single, Born This Way, va fi lansat vineri la radiouri, iar duminică, la decernarea Premiilor Grammy, mama monştrilor o va interpreta pentru prima dată în faţa unui public.

Nimic nu e la întâmplare!

Iar din interviul acordat revistei reiese că Lady Gaga nu are probleme cu încrederea de sine. Uite aici:

“Strict din punct de vedere muzical, cred că sunt un artist desăvârşit. Sunt un entertainer talentat. Consider că am una dintre cele mai bune voci din industrie. Consider că sunt unul dintre cei mai buni compozitori. N-aş spune că sunt unul dintre cei mai buni dansatori, dar sunt destul de pricepută la ceea ce fac. Cred că este OK să fii încrezător în propria ta persoană.”

Cu certitudine, nu strică să ai un dram de încredere în forţele proprii!

“Îmi doresc ca oamenii din univers, fanii mei şi nu numai să mă folosească drept modalitate de evadare. Sunt bufonul regatului. Sunt drumul spre ieşire. Sunt pretextul necesar pentru a-ţi explora identitatea. Pentru a fi tu însuţi şi pentru a te simţi neînfricat. Pentru a nu te autojudeca, pentru a nu te urî. Pentru că, oricât de amuzant este faptul că sunt pe coperta Vogue – şi nimeni nu râde mai tare ca mine – în şcoală, eram fata care nu scăpa să fie numită târfă, căţea sau urâtă, sau aia cu nasul mare, sau tocilară ori lesbiană.”

Dacă în şcoală se luau de ea pe bune, este cu atât mai îmbucurător că a reuşit în ciuda tuturor să ajungă acolo unde este acum. Şi după cum aţi văzut are destulă forţă şi încredere să ţintească şi mai sus!

Cât despre pictorial, naiba ştie ce să zic. Mi se pare rece, arată a Gaga, dar îi lipseşte dinamica caracteristică artistei.
